Biggest Celebration of Everything Digital in the Country Happens in the Digital Pilipinas Festival!

Get ready for an explosion of innovation, creativity, and cutting-edge technology as the Philippines gears up for the highly anticipated Digital Pilipinas Festival. This landmark event, set to take place from November 21 to 22, 2023 in SMX Convention Center Aura and in various locations, is a festival of festivals of everything about the digital economy in the Philippines as a bridgeway to ASEAN.

The Digital Pilipinas Festival is more than just an event; it’s a vibrant ecosystem that brings together government officials, industry leaders, tech enthusiasts, and the general public to explore the transformative power of digital technologies. Last year saw the launch of technical working groups that support the 12 industries, and the most dynamic industries have emerged. You’ll see the successes of these industries this year as they now launch their own festivals, with an expanded scope that encompasses fintech, proptech, insurtech, esports, halal, content creation, sustainability, digital government, and cybersecurity in ASEAN.

What to Expect at Digital Pilipinas Festival Year 2
The festival is not just a mere discussion platform; it boasts a diverse attendee profile, ranging from public servants to global digital technology leaders. It also promises an unparalleled experience, featuring an extraordinary line-up of speakers, including ambassadors, CEOs, tech gurus, and financial experts – a virtual “who’s who” in technology and finance from all corners of the globe, particularly from more than 20 partner countries including Malaysia, Japan, India, Singapore, Canada, the United Kingdom, Russia, and more.

In the lead-up to this year’s festival, the Digital Pilipinas movement has made significant strides in advancing the country’s digital agenda. Through collaboration with government agencies like the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), as well as leading organizations from the private sector, Digital Pilipinas has secured commitments from numerous delegates across ASEAN and beyond to engage in new initiatives and forge partnerships that will propel the region’s digital transformation.

The movement’s efforts have already translated into tangible achievements laying the foundation for a digitally inclusive and prosperous Philippines. Some of these notable accomplishments include:

  • Signing of MOUs with ASEAN countries – Strengthening ties and fostering collaboration in the digital realm across Southeast Asia.
  • Groundbreaking digital initiatives – Digital Pilipinas has spearheaded the launch of several innovative projects, such as the Philippine Digital Economy Framework, aimed at accelerating the country’s digital transformation efforts.
  • Tech Philippines Advocates (TPA) – A network of industry leaders dedicated to promoting the Philippines as a regional hub for digital innovation.

These accomplishments demonstrate the Digital Pilipinas movement’s commitment to transforming the Philippines into a leading digital nation in ASEAN. The second Digital Pilipinas Festival will serve as a springboard for further advancements, showcasing the country’s readiness to embrace the digital revolution and shape the future of Southeast Asia.

“In today’s increasingly interconnected world, it is more important than ever for the Philippines to be a leader in tech,” said Amor Maclang, Convenor of Digital Pilipinas, the Digital Pilipinas Festival, the Philippine Fintech Festival, and Cofounder of the ONE ASEAN Fintech Movement and GeiserMaclang. “The Digital Pilipinas Festival can continue to play a critical role in helping us to achieve this goal by providing a platform for collaboration and innovation, and by advocating for the adoption of new technologies across all sectors of society.”
